1who is responsible

This website (elizamarin.com) is operated by Eliza Marin, based in Bucharest, Romania, acting as the data controller.

• Hosting: Hostico SRL (Romania), which processes standard server and connection data (including your IP) to deliver and secure the site. This is technically necessary to serve the page.

2what data is collected

This is a static personal website. There are no accounts, no logins, no stored forms, no shop. There are two kinds of processing.

a. Website analytics — Microsoft Clarity, only after you consent. When enabled, Clarity collects:

• which pages you visit and how far you scroll;
• where you click and move, shown as aggregated heatmaps;
• anonymized replays of the session. Clarity masks text you type, so anything you enter in a field or the assistant is not captured in a replay;
• device, browser and operating system type, the referring site, and approximate location (country / city level, from your IP).

This is aggregated and statistical, and I use it only to understand at a personal level how the content is read.

b. The on-site assistant (“ask eliza”). When you ask it a question, I log the question, the topic it matched, and whether it answered. There is no IP address, no cookie, and nothing that identifies you. Please treat it as a public question box and don't type personal details you would not want recorded.

3cookies

If, and only if, you accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity sets cookies in your browser. The main ones are:

Until you click Accept, no analytics cookies are set and Clarity is not loaded at all. Your accessibility settings and your cookie choice are stored in your browser's localStorage only, never sent to me, and are not used for tracking.

4legal basis

• Analytics runs on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 7).
• The assistant log runs on my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in improving the site, balanced against the fact that it is anonymous.

5third parties and international transfers

• Microsoft Clarity — provided by Microsoft; data may be processed by Microsoft in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Google Fonts — some web fonts load from Google's servers, which exposes your IP address to Google at the moment the fonts load.
• Hostico — the host processes connection metadata to deliver and secure the site, which is technically necessary.

I share data with no one else. No advertising, no remarketing, no social trackers.

6how long data is kept

Clarity analytics is retained by Microsoft according to its terms and then deleted; aggregated reports may be kept longer. The assistant log is kept only while it helps me improve the site, and it holds no identifiers.

7your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
